Our story and mission

At LifeHealthNow, we are dedicated to transforming lives through the power of functional medicine. Discover our journey, our unique approach, and our commitment to helping you achieve optimal health and well-being.

Our journey to functional medicine

With 30 years as a registered nurse and over a decade as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, I've witnessed the profound impact of dementia in long-term care. This experience ignited a passion for finding a better way – a preventative and holistic approach to this debilitating disease. My research led me directly to functional medicine, a path dedicated to understanding and addressing the root causes of illness.

Our unique approach to wellness

Unlike conventional medicine that often focuses on treating symptoms, our functional medicine approach delves deeper. We are committed to identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic diseases, including dementia. By adopting a whole-system perspective, we empower you with personalized strategies not only for treatment but also for significantly lowering your risk of developing these conditions.

Who we help and why it matters

Our story

For more than three decades, I have cared for people at some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

As a registered nurse and nursing leader, I have watched modern healthcare accomplish remarkable things. We save lives, treat infections, perform complex surgeries, and help people recover from illnesses that once would have been fatal.

Yet I also watched another story unfold.

Too often, I saw healthcare become focused on managing disease after it appeared rather than helping people understand the factors that contribute to health in the first place.

I cared for countless individuals living with dementia and other forms of cognitive decline. I witnessed not only what these diseases took from the person diagnosed, but also what they took from spouses, children, siblings, and entire families.

This wasn't only my professional experience.

It became my personal one.

Members of my own family—including my father, my brother, and my oldest sister—experienced dementia or disease-related delirium. I watched the slow progression that so many families know all too well: the gradual loss of memory, independence, identity, and connection.

Those experiences changed me.

More than a decade ago, I began intentionally studying dementia, brain health, and the emerging science of prevention and risk reduction. I became convinced that while no single approach can eliminate the risk of cognitive disease, many of the factors that influence brain health are within our ability to improve.

That conviction became the foundation of LifeHealthNow.

Our purpose is not to promise miracles or certainty.

Our purpose is to help people understand what the science tells us today, to translate that knowledge into practical action, and to empower individuals and families to build the healthiest, most resilient brains possible throughout life.

Because while we cannot rewrite our genetics, we can influence many of the choices we make every day.

And those choices matter.
